Does anyone know the difference between today's hot topic and today's top discussions. I would think top discussions are those with the most responses, but what makes it a hot topic? Any mylotter out there that can answer this for me? Thanks for reading and hope to hear back from you.

These are one of those mylot features that I still can't figure out, I haven't get the chance to even ask it to them or even to Crash. But IMO, I think the Hot Topics were the controversial ones which were informative in a way. While the Top Discussions, were discussions chosen according to the ratings it received and how topics were discussed in it. I'm not really sure about this, but this is what I've observed by being here for more than a year now..

Sounds reasonable and was what I thought it would be. Guess I don't understand why they make everything so mysterious here.

i think a top discussion is a discussion that has the most responses in it and the hot discussions is the discussion that were very controversial and has lots of heated arguments about the topic.i hope im right with this one.but thats how i see it.anyone can correct me if im wrong....good day to all!

I really don't know the difference. When I was first going to respond to this, I was thinking that the hot topic could be from any day, but then I looked and saw the link says today's hot topic. So I don't understand it either and since I am responding through my email I have to respond before I can see the other responses you got to see what other members are saying in the subject.

That's really strange. You know, I hadn't noticed that they had both until just now. (I'm not very observant when it comes to looking for site features.) Now I'll puzzle over it, too.
