Nora Roberts owned and was restoring a 1700's hotel in her hometown of Boonsboro, MD and it caught on fire. So sad. She has done a lot for her small town to help bring in revenue. Apparently it was caused in area that construction was going on. Her goal was to have each room have a different character theme. If you go to www.wbaltv.com and do a search you can read more about it.

Oh wow, that is sad. I used to love reading her books. She's a great author.

I saw pictures of it and I don't think they can rebuild. The exterior looked liked it was made of stone, so they will probably have to tear it down. The fire also damaged some other businesses.
