Wouldn't it be nice if myLot did their earnings updates in real time? We could actually see our earnings as we finished a discussion or answered a response. It would be a great incentive to have more members active on a regular basis. I'm all for it. What's your opinion?

Nice thought, but I'm sure would be very difficult to put into reality. I'm guessing here, but I'll bet that they don't even know what the payout is going to be for that day until the tally is done after the cutoff. They probably have to see how much revenue is generated for that period first. If so, there's no way they can give us earnings without knowing what revenue was brought in during that same time frame. Personally, I'm more than satisfied with it updating daily. The regular social networking sites don't tell you a thing until after the payout two weeks into the next month.

MyLot has a very good system and employees that stay on top of things so if they haven't considered this by now, it may never go into effect. I would like to see it change to real time but think that's a dream on my part. Thanks for responding.

I think that that is actually a very good idea..I think that alot more people would be on here doing more work if they could see their earnings adding up..that is one of the most annoying things to me about mylot is because they don't do that and you have to wait until the next day to see how much money you have earned...

I honestly think it's not a good idea. When it comes close to payday, myLot cleans up the board by making deletions and people complain that their earnings are going up and down during that time. If we got paid in real time your earnings could skyrocket and then when they delete responses and discussions your numbers could drop dramatically and you would become discouraged, and some people would become outraged as they sometimes do. I think updating once a day is the best way for it to work. We shouldn't be focusing on our earnings but on our discussions.

Sorry for asking what may be a silly question but when is payday? if this is the end of the month then the earnings will go up and down anyway or you will think you have earned more when you havent? is there a set day to be paid then.

You have to reach payout by the end of the month but it takes about two weeks for admin to go through clean-up and make the payouts so payday is on or around the 15th of the following month. But any earnings you make in that two week period do not count towards your previous month's earnings to make payout.

MyLot could change their cutoff date and work around payday. We're not talking about hundreds and hundreds of dollars that would effect someone's lifestyle completely. I agree about the discussion topics. Sometimes it's not easy finding a subject that is interesting to all or even part of the myLot community. Thanks for responding.

That would be so nice. There was another site that did that but they are no longer around. I would love to be able to see my progress here instead of having to wait. I made a discussion about this a long time ago but nothing happened. I think people would be more active if they could actually see their earnings update as they go. I really hope Mylot makes it avalable for us!!!

Am sure myLot has thought about this as it seems their site has been well thought out and proven before opening to members. I find myself waiting in the morning to see what I earned the day before when I first wake up. It's like a kid waiting to go to a candy store..lol Thanks for responding.

LOL. same here. I always wait for the update too and I keep on posting and responding and check it every time the page reloads. I hope they can make it in real time for us though. that would be very encouraging.

I myself would love to see this but I do totally understand why myLot doesn't do that - there would be those out there doing nothing but figuring out how much they got paid for this or that activity, posting it for everyone else then everyone would do the same thing and where would the quality discussions be? In the toilet - I'm perfectly fine with things the way they are and am thrilled that the earnings have increased.

You bring up a real good point. While the increase in earnings is nice, it's not enough to buy me a new car..lol I enjoy the discussions as much as the money. The discussions might suffer as a result but myLot might be able to weed out the repeated money discussions. Thanks for responding.

Hi, I am definately all for it, there is nothing worse than waiting 24 hours to see what you have earned! I wonder why they dont do it, is there no set amount for what you earn per reply? If we get enough people all for it - we should do a petition haha.

The cutoff date for February is tomorrow, 2/29. According to Crash, there is not a standard amount per discussion or response. Depends on the detailed description of the discussion and response. I find myLot to be a fun place to socialize also. Thanks for responding.

Awesome idea. I think other forums actually do this already. Maybe if we don't ask, MyLot won't deal with it. So I guess, we should start asking. It is definitely an incentive to stay active.

As I mentioned in an earlier response, money talks. Incentives are good and if myLot would put this idea into play, all the members would get excited. It's fun to see earnings right on the spot. Thanks for responding.

How strange to see this discussion. The past 2 or 3 days that thought has crossed my mind about how it would be nice to see it increase each time and not have to wait overnight. That way a person could see what it is they are doing to make their money.

MyLot could make adjustments at the time of their cutoff date if there is an increase or decrease in earnings for a particular member. They seem to have a very sophisticated system and employees right on top of things. This idea has probably been tossed around for awhile. Thanks for responding.

I think this is a very good suggestion. And we can easily understand how our earning grows. It will be clear. I will be much more active to see it.

Think there is a way myLot could effectively put this idea into use but will they, don't know. Thanks for responding.

Hello dear carol bee. I agree with you on this point that it would attract more new members if the earnings updates in real time after we post or respond to a discussio as it can be seen immediately after that. It would be more fun to see the earnings increases in real time. I hope that this discussion could be read Mylot admin and take it into consideration for the promotion of Mylot. Thanks very much for this nice and meaningful discussion, dear friend.

I really think it would boost participation by all members. The way it could be done is myLot decides on a flat rate per discussion. Later in the month, before payout time, myLot could add any extra earnings. Discussions that are not within the guidelines could be taken care of asap and the member wouldn't be credited. Am sure myLot has tossed this around. Maybe later in the future, this might be something they decide to do. Thanks for responding.

It doesn't really bother me really and I think there is quite a bit of debate about it and has been for a long time but it does not really matter I think. Either way is the same really. It actually does teach us to be patient in a way. It is exciting either way but yeah you have a point that it could lead to higher incentive for some people but it could also make it more addictive that way too. After all most people do have lives to lead and can not be here most of the time so it works out fine I think the way it is.

My opinion is that anything on the internet can be addicting. It's a matter of knowing when to stop and do something else. I think many members work and like the idea of the socializing and earning as well. It's a fun place to be. Thanks for responding.
