I just reached 500 posts! Finally, I can copy and paste! That is going to come in so handy at times! Ok, to make this a discussion, to those of you who are able, how often do you copy and paste? What sort of things do you copy and paste? I think I will mostly use my copy and paste power when I am adding links to a discussion.

Congratulations in reaching your 500th post... it feels good doesn't it... from here on... reaching 1000 or even 2000 will be like a breeze... well, i haven't used the copy paste power to its fullest capacity... and i only do it when i start a discussion about a certain news item... or if i was to show a certain discussion... then i copy paste the link... Well, aside for the copy paste power... you can now add an image to responses that you make... which can be a boost to your earnings... congratulations again...

Congratulations on crossing this milestone, especially when you can now do copy and paste functions. I know the feeling, because I also felt a sense of joy as well as relieve on surpassing my 500 posts too. Before that I tried to copy some chunks of data from some sources (I think for a recipe) and found that I couldn't and had to type the whole lot of text out. It was cumbersome. Now I enjoy using this function ever so often, and I know you will too.

Yeah, I tried using it before I reached 500 for something before too and found out that I couldn't. It was really frustraiting at the time. I will enjoy being able to use this function as it will make some things easier! Thanks for your reply!

Congrats! Woohoo! Yay! :P If I copy and paste, it's mostly when I'm writing a really long response and I'm worried about losing it if it doesn't post somehow. I'll copy and paste it into a notebook file or something just to make sure I have it in case it doesn't go through. That sounds a little paranoid, but if you've seen the length of some of my posts, you understand. I think the other thing I use copy and paste the most for is posting my poetry.

Doesn't sound paranoid at all. I've actually had that happen to me before and had to re-type the whole thing so I understand completey! That's cool that you use it for posting your poetry too.

Congratulatios! I believe that I am on my way to my 500 posts. Yes it wold be really a great help if we can copy paste. Because there are times that we have to make use of that like when we need to refresh, we have no choice but to type it all again.and when we have to share links... its a little bit frustrating that we cannot copy paste.

Congratulations Betsey! :) I use this "power" every time I make a discussion or reply to a discussion. I don't type directly on Mylot anymore since I can copy and paste, but rather use another program so that in case mylot goes down or I lose connection I will have it saved and won't have to rewrite it all, all over again. I remember this happening to me a few times before I reached 500 and it was quite frustrating to say the least. So instead of taking chances I do it this way. Now you know my secret. ;)

Congratualtions on reaching your 500 posts!!! I have not reached that far yet- but can't wait to do so. If I were at my 500 posts I would use that power to copy and paste links and relevant information into my discussions and response posts! Have fun copy & pasting- I'll be there shortly ;)

I was already a member of MyLot before they implemented that 500 post thingie. I cannot find the discussion in MyLot's profile, but MyLot had posted it (as an alert), & I had responded to it. The 500 post thingie was originally implemented to stop the copying & pasting of other people's discussions, but it didn't really help. Either those who wanted to cheat found some way to copy & paste anyway, or typed the discussion word for word. It got me because the site kept having problems where I ended up having to retype an entire response or discussion, & when retyping it, it wasn't the same. I had been typing it out in notepad, & then copying & pasting from that. So all in all, this 500 post thingie is nothing more than discrimination against newbies.

To be honest I very rarely copy and paste here. I think I just got used to not doing it so now I forget! Congrats on the 500 landmark!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I could copy and paste too! Anyway, congratulations to you! I would probably use the copy and paste for inserting news items or other topics that I feel like discussing about so that our readers don't have to leave the discussion page. Isn't that a good way of using that copy and paste "power"? That way the readers would find it easy to respond to the discussion right away. Have a great day and happy mylotting!

Copying and pasting links is a good way to use that capability, makes it easier not to mistype. I myself have had this for a few days now and I have only had the occasion once to use it and that was to respond to a technical question which I then researched and c-a-p it back.

Okay I am so so jealous! I feel like I've been in the 300's for days now. LOL I just want to hit 500 so that I too can copy and paste! LOL Well, anyways, congratulations! Personally I would copy and paste links to articles that I use in my discussions, or I would use in my discussions. Some of those danged links are crazy long!

The only time that I found a use for copying and pasting at Mylot was during a period that my internet connection was a little unstable. It was convenient to type a response into Word and then return to Mylot to submit it. This way I did not lose the whole content due to loss of connection. As a rule I simply visit Mylot and respond directly.

Congratulations. I am striving to reach the same goal, but its happening slower than I anticipated. I can't wait to copy and paste and also add pictures to my discussions. I believe that increases your earning potential. Good luck in reaching whatever your next goal might be.

Hi, Congratulations to you on your achievement. It really gives us a feeling of more flexibility in working here. It becomes very easy now give long links here which otherwise was very difficult without the copy and paste facility. Hope you make use of this and make your discussions more interesting. Happy mylotting..

Congratulations for your 500 posts. And to answer your question, I don't think I often use copy and paste. Just type what I want to write without using copy and paste.
