My 80's bike. Do you own a bicycle?

How often do you ride it and where do you ride it? I recently got given my aunty's old bike. It's from the 80's and it's very cool! It's light pink with big thin wheels and a red basket on the fornt of it. I absolutely love it! Last night I rode my bike to the supermarket to get dinner. I took my green bag and put the groceries in my basket and rode home. It was so cool! With the cost of petrol these days, I think more people should own a bike. Tell me about your bike! What colour is your helmet? Do you have funky accessories like my red basket?

i don't have a bike any more. i had a really cool one up until a few years ago and my hubbys cuz's daughter needed one and they didn't have the money so i gave her mine. when i lived in oklahoma we didn't live in a place that i felt good about riding around and now we have to drive 20-25 minutes just to get to a store so i wouldn't ride that. someday maybe i will get a new one and start riding again. sounds like you have a nice bike i always wanted a basket for mine but now with 3 kids i would need a trailer to pull.lol

How nice of you to donate your bike! Ha once I saw a man riding his bike and it had a little buggy atatched to the back of for his little boy-it was so cool! But you'd have to be so cautious.

I used to have a bicycle when I was in middle school.I ride it to school every day. It's so cool to ride it and race with friends. It't a good happy time in my life. But now I take bus for instead.Frankly speaking, I don't like bus or car at all.But the distance is too long for me to ride. I want to have a bicycle. haha^_^

It has been a long time since i last rode a bike... but i do remember how fun it was... and how frightened i was when i first learned how to do it... i never own one... my father strongly forbid us in riding one since he said that they are only for boy... but i would sneek out and borrow my neighbors bike... and use it for like hours... Now that my father have grandchildren... it is quite a puzzle for me because... he would buy them a new bike every two years... and i think that is so unfair...

When I rode bicycles they didn't make us wear helmets, but my favorite bike was pink. That was not my favorite color, but I got it for $12 at the Salvation Army. I didn't have a bike when I was a kid and got my first when when I was about 40. My first one was a nice mountain bike, brand new with all the extras, and I was concerned that it might get stolen if I left it outside our home and we didn't have a garage, so I packed it in the car and stored it in a paid storage facility when not riding it. The storage facility was burglarized a few months later, so I wasn't going to buy another expensive bike. The pink one was a dirt bike and I accessorized the heck out of it!

My husband bought each of us used japanese bike called "Jitensha" or "Charinko". We ride it on every weekend at the lake side for our weekly physical exercise for more or less three(3) hours. Normally we started at 8.00 a.m. and ended up at 11.00 a.m. For daily use, actually, it is a good practice to use bicycle. But in city area, safety has to take first as so many traffics are able to jeopardized our cycling activity. Anyway, bicycle is better than riding a horse.

I don't have a bike but we have talked about getting some to go riding. I would be good exercise and fun and scenic too. I love nature :) I'm not sure that we will actually get any but I hope we do :)

My bike is the indoor exercise kind, with all the bells and whistles so I can keep track of how far, how fast, and how many calories burned... but Hun has a mountain bike (orange) that he rides a good part of the year to get his blood sugar to manageable levels since his diabetes became worse. He hasn't been riding enough lately due to the bad weather, but he's getting the urge to get out there again. Oh... he has a black helmet and a water-bottle holder.

When I was a kid I used to bike a lot, there were times when my dad scold me because I spend, too much hours playing. I like biking, i love the breeze as I go around the village. It was so much fun back then, and I really do miss those times. Now, I still have a bike, but I couldn't use it as often as I would like to.

I have a bike and I ride it nearly everyday. Because I am still a student and I live on campus. What's more, the distance between my dorm and the teaching building is quite long. Thus most students own a bike. And in my country, bike is not expensive. Mine is just ordinary, not very cool. It's all blue. It does have a basket, but not as cool as yours, just for placing groceries anyway. I do not have a helmet. That's not necessary for riding bike here. Everyday when it is time for classes, hundreds of bikes just rush to the building in that 6 meters or so wide rode. And I could be dangerous sometimes. Now I do not have that much classes. If I am not hurry, I prefer to walk.
