What is it about your inlaws that you like? Do you have an over-all good rapport with your inlaws? Do you see them often, are they a major part of your life?

My inlaws are great people. They stay in a coastal area 400 kms from Bangalore city - the city in which my self and my wife live. We visit them twice a year when my son gets school holidays. My father in law is a doctor and mother in law is a table tennis champion, specialist in knitting (she has prepared two wollen sweaters for me). They are educated, nice and always lending their hands at times of need. My father in law is a philosopher, and whenever we come across good books on philosophy we send it to him for approval and purchase. The major part of my life is my wife and my son. However, we need all in laws, my wife's in laws, my family members and her family members. More the people, more the merry.

how very nice, thank you for sharing with us, it sounds like an ideal situation and the way we should all regard our inlaws - parents and children.

My in-laws both are gone. Father-in-law passed before we got married. MIL, was mentally ill, so there wasn't a relationship. During my first marriage, I always joked that I married my husband because of his parents. They were the best. I actually did more with them than my husband. I wish I would have stayed in touch with them, but my ex didn't want me to.
