How come I can't do this?

I have seen many discussions on here in which the person posted a joke. Some of them are great and they make me laugh. However, I'm curious to know, what are the guidelines for posting jokes? Many of the other jokes that I have seen posted here, are just that, jokes that they heard or copied from somewhere. They post them and the post stays. I post a few jokes, and before the day is over, they get deleted. How come other people can post jokes but I can't?

I think the people that post stuff like that shouldnt be allowed to earn anything from it. I think their posts are eventually deleted, maybe the mylot bots just find yours first. But honestly, Mylot is a discussion forum, I give it my all when I'm here and rarely respond or post with a one liner.. yet so many people do it. Jokes aren't much of a discussion. Just my opinion.

That's ok. I agree that they are not much of a discussion, but they are fun to read sometimes, especially when you need a good laugh. I don't mind if I don't get paid for them.
