Acer Notebook with bad services

Hi,
I've bought an Acer Notebook Aspire 4710 six months ago and currently the network card is having a problem being detected, it always hangs or unable to detect the network card. I've then moved to US recently and this issue came up, So I called the technical support of Acer and told them about my case which I do have an international warranty with me but they told me that since the system is not purchased in US so they are not able to help me on the issue unless the system was bought at BestBuy. I was so frustrated with the service as I believe that having an international warranty means INTERNATIONAL! Does any of you out there faces this problem as well? What about other brands of notebooks? Does it covers international Warranty?
