Texas Taxes

I saw this on the news today and thought it was interesting. These are the taxes that you pay directly to the state and they have some really outlandish hidden fees. Plus, lots of the money gets diverted to other things that aren't important (in my opinion). There are 82 pages full of these hidden fees and there are literally thousands of things on the list. Before I forget, this segment was like an investigation by the news station so the viewers are more informed of where their tax money is going to. Okay, the list is below (some of the things that I wrote down as I saw them). Oyster sales Grazing land fees Hotels Restaurants Racetrack license Gas Companies Electric Companies Auctioneers' fees Gas pump fees Many different types of insurance of items and companies That is just a very small list. A lot of the fees and charges on the list are outdated and one of the Texas congressmen is trying to get the outdated fees off the list and stop them from diverted the money where it doesn't belong. Do all states operate this way with stupid fees? I'm sure they do, but what do you all think about them?

Oh, yes! And you forgot to mention that these taxes are actually taxes on already taxed income!

Just the ways of plunderers: The US government is a piracy government on all levels, both domestically and internationally! And I do not undestand how it is that this fact is never obvious to people!

Texas does not pay State Income Tax. Try living in Maryland, Virginia, California and 40 others where you pay state income tax and then also pay these fees. You should feel fortunate you live in Texas.

I seen a commercial, a political one for Texas, and the person said that our state pays more taxes the most of the other states
