Both can be. But i believe hatred is more powerful even i really want love to be. People will go crazy and willing to anything with hatred in their self.

For me it's love. It's the emotion that gets me going despite the hardness of times. Usually hatred is sunk into the deep and I'm trying to bury hatred to oblivion because it only makes me grow too old and too sinful.

hi ! postive minded 1977, i guess both are very powerful emotions... both are extremes... the difference is that hatred leads to self destruction and suffering and love leads to the right path .. our goals and keeps us moving to the highest level we can reach at that time!.

I think love is more powerful in terms of eternity. I watch several documentaries produced by the Discovery Channel, quite a prestigious channel, I suppose, about people's experience of dying but later were rescued. On their account, they all reported a feeling of overwhelmingly strong love from the space, or someone said, the God. After they regain consciousness, their attitudes towards life have ever been changed. They become more caring and considerate to the others, and show immense love to the people around them, because, according to their special experience, they all concluded that love is the ultimate power to conquer lots of things. Hatred is also powerful to some extend, for it can so easily take one over. But my advice is that never ever let detestation take the better of your reasoning and do something regrettable and ruine your life ever since.

I think both of these emotions are very powerful. Love for example can be so strong that you would do anything for the people you love. You would give your life for example to save your childs life. Whilst hate is also very powerful in a negative way, where people will get physically ill as they have so much hatred inside them. I don't think you could say one is more powerful then the other. But I would much rather love then hate, I do not think it is healthy to hate something or someone, better to dislike.
