I don't have many carpets in my home. I find them the best trap for dust and pet hair and... you know :) But there is one on the stairs to my third floor- my daughter's room - and a small one under the coffee table in my living room. I always sprinkle some baking soda before I vacuum and let it stay for a bit. It absorbs odors and leaves the carpet smelling fresh. I prefer that to any of the commercial powders or sprays for carpets - it works really well, it's cheaper and it doesn't leave any strong artificial smells. What do you do, do you buy /prefer the commercial ones? If so why? Or do you tend to try more natural approaches? DId you ever use baking soda for this purpose?

I hate to come of as being the bad guy, but you put this discussion in the interested titled 'House', the TV show! :) You might get more response if you put it in something more appropriate.

Ooops LOL I was just complaining that it's so difficult to go trough all the interests to find the one that we want. I was actually looking for home, but after spending a few minutes looking for that interest - that I know I have - I thought I would simplify things and just post under house - it didn't occur to me that it was the series that I also like to watch :):) Oh well, now it's done. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, because if I am not mistaken I posted something else under the same interest that was related to home rather than tv LOL

Yea, you did. :) I'm not ticked or anything, just thought you might like to know. I saw 'House' on the left of my home page as something that had a discussion in the last hour and got all excited. LOL ...
