I always have a better breakfast when I am not working. The fact that I am not in a hurry to go out helps, of course:)
I was making orange juice when my "adoptive" daughter came down and saw me squeezing the juice out of a few oranges. "Oh my! you actually do that yourself? with real oranges???? " she was surprised.
I guess it makes sense. Nowadays most people buy their orange juice, they don't go trough the trouble of making it.
She had a glass full and loved it. She admitted that the taste was so much better than that of the ones that we buy in the supermarket.
My kids also prefer their orange juice this way.
Actually I never buy cartons, bottles, concentrated, powder etc. I have a problem with the acidic taste - coming not just from the orange but all the things needed to preserve the juice, and keep it fresh.
I always have enough oranges at home to make my orange juice - and counting with my kids and their friends LOL
Is it more expensive.. it can be, but I can't compromise with the taste.
So how do you get your orange juice? Do you squeeze the oranges yourself or squeeze the carton, the bottle or even the frozen concentrate?

I make about 1/2 of our juice, as there are times when the fruit costs to much more than the carton of juice. My juicer is very quick, so I can make it quick in the morning. If I had a tree in the yard, then I would make all of my juice.
I agree its better to drink juice with no preservatives. I'm always concerned about all the extra items with big names that I don't know what they do to my body. I buy the carton, as the concentrate is really high in my stores.

yes, often buying the fruit and making the juice ourselves ends up being more expensive than just buying the carton at the store, but I just can't get used to the taste, so I prefer not to have juice and drink water instead. Or, like the other poster said, just eat the orange LOL

Usually I just drink it from the containers or bottles. I actually do not try to make my own. I do love eating oranges though. But yes oranges are the best. I really love oranges they are so tasty, especially when they are very cool. The best time to eat an orange is like late at night. Have it in the fridge or freezer for about 30 minutes, oh my goodness. What a treat you guys are missing!!!!
