do you keep to yourself and fly under the radar at work when situations arise,or do you tackle them head on.the reason i ask is that normally i keep a low profile at work, when issues arise, but lately i have tackled these issues head on with my supervisor as i have seen how badly she has treated other members of staff and i can no longer watch these people suffer and now have confronted her with this.would you stand up for other members of your staff when you see that have been badly mistreated.do you worry about the effects of these confrontations.share with me your experiences.cheers sue

It would depend how much I care about keeping my job... and how much my supervisor needs me. It is all very well to stand up for your collegues... but if you lose your job over it... they won't do anything to help you. On the contrary... they will think... we better shut up... or we will be next. It is all about power. If you have the power... you can say just about anything you like and go over your supervisor head. But otherwise forget it. Right now... she has the power... and she intend to retain it by any means. If you stand in her way... she will try to remove you... even if it means lying about you.

unfortunately she has already tried to lie about me,but that did not stand too well with the others involved,so they went to management about her as well.they have had enough.we have been told that our jobs are safe.i know that she will try to do everything in her power to stay in control, but it is in the hands of senor management to sort out.cheers sue

I would have to assess the situation, it would depend, sometimes it is wise and sometimes it is not.

yes a few of us have already assessed the situation and the other ladies have had enough and it has been put to management,so it is in their hands now.we can not be sacked as we have all lodged formal complaints against her.normally i would not get involved, but it has reached a point where i can not stand it any longer.thanks for sharing cheers sue
