Laundry soap.

Do you use a certain brand of laundry soap? Does it matter to you which kind you use? My mother will only use Tide, and won't buy any other brand. I buy whatever is the cheapest. To me they are all the same and do the same job. But to some it matters. I have used every brand that is on the market, I am sure. Right now I have Cheer at home, since it was on sale the other day, for $4.99 which was cheaper than any other brand, including the no name branc. Most of the time I buy Sunlight, but this time Cheer was cheaper. I always buy Bounce sheets, though, because I have tried the cheaper ones and find they don't work very good. I don't like have static in my clothes, so I will spend the extra money to get the Bounce brand. So tell me what brand you use, or does it not matter, like with me.

Well I used to use anything that was the cheapest until my husband started breaking out in hives. He had to go to the doctor and have allergy tests done because he just wouldn't stop breaking out. His hives are terrible and they get EVERYWHERE! (sorry, just thought I would try out the new feature for the first time) Anyway, to this day, we still don't know what causes them because we have cut out everything he is allergic to. He swears he breaks out less when I use Era so, it's the only thing I buy anymore. He still breaks out but if it makes him feel better then so be it.

I use only the free and clear allergy free detergents. It seems I have a reaction to detergent on my clothes. I try to get the best deal on the detergent and switch from brand to brand as long as its the clear and fragrance free. Personally, I don't feel these do the best job because I think my colored clothes fade faster, but aside from using less than recommended amounts, I can't do much about that. As far as softener goes, I'm trying out white vinegar to eliminate all the toxins from the softeners. The jury is out on that right now. whit

My wife has a big problem with many detergents. We have ended up with basic Purex. Thanks for bringing up the allergy issue.

I usually buy Sunlight the Hi Efficiency kind. I am allergic to Cheer, and I can never figure out Tide as there are so many to choose from. Unfortunately Superstore does not sell the Sünlight liquid for sensitive skin in the high efficiency kind, so I have to use the blue kind in the yellow bottle. I find the liquid Sunlight easier as it does not cake, and I used the bleach for colored and vinegar for rinsing. And you need more of the cheaper kinds to do the same work.

I usually buy the cheapest that I can find, which is usually Sun brand. So long as it is dye free and perfume free I am happy. Sometimes I buy All (again, with it being free of any dyes or perfumes), but only when the Sun isn't available where I happen to be shopping that day. Like you, I also think all laundry soaps are the same so I try to buy the cheapest whenever I can.

I used to buy Surf, which is a cheaper brand here, then I later switched to Tide, because I felt that Surf wasn't doing a great job, lol. But still, I wasn't satisfied with Tide, and so I switched to Ariel (not sure if its available anywhere other than where I'm from) and have been loyal to it for 2 years now. :)

well I am always for Surf XL. I cant use any other soap. I love its fresh fragrance and it cleans well to. My clothes are simply not washed if I don’t use Surf XL. For winter garments and silk, however, I use only Genteel.

I always buy whatever is on offer! I look out for the buy one get one free or buy two for so much. I do have to buy a certain type for my daughter though as she has excema but I have found one that is cheap and smells really nice so it does not work out any more expensive.

Like you I don't think there is any real difference in washing powder. I tend to go for the supermarket brand as that is usually cheaper. I was using the two in one kind but have started buying conditioner as they don't do what they say. The clothes are not soft at all.

I won't use any of the regular laundry detergent, softeners or dish soap that you find in the store anymore. They're all full of chemicals that are bad for you, your babies and your pets. Since I switched to all natural products several years ago, I feel so much better and never get sick. I used Tide and Downy for years. Never again ...

I too use bounce fabric sheets. Plus they make your laundry smell good. I usually buy the cheapest laundry detergent the one that is on sale. My mom use to use Tide too.

I buy laundry soaps whatever is available in the nearest supermarket. I'm not so keen on brands although I prefer Tide because it's really good (it's quite expensive though).

I will buy whats cheap. Most of the time I buy a really big box of surf. It goes a long way. If not I buy purex. If I have a little extra money I will buy downy sheets, but most of time I get a big box of the walmart brand sheets.
