Since both my kids have settled down and my husband is quite busy in his work,I've joined art classes...I am enjoying them no doubt sitting among all the youngsters...he he he!..initially I used to do my own work,learn,practice..but lately I've started getting friendly with the young lot around...when I saw their drawing, it was superb of almost all the students...after that I'm started having little inferiority complex and think that I cant be as good as those young lots...then give a second thought that I'll practice more and will do better, but somewhere in my mind I have a feeling that is it worth joining classes at this age? For your information I've never attended art classes in my life, but I have a passion for it..Whats your opinion about it?

I think that it's great that you started doing art classes! Give your self a pat on the back! No matter what your age is, I think it's great to continue learning about whatever it is that you are interested in. That way you are continuing to grow as a person. I know it can be hard when someone younger than you can do something better than you or someone who has not been doing it as long. Just remember that we all have different talents that have been cultivated at rates. So don't worry about what other people's art looks like. As long are you are enjoying yourself and learning, that's all that matters. Although, you might not (yet) have the same skills as some the younger students, you have a set of experience of life that are vastily different that will give your artwork a different dimension to it.

Youngsters are no doubt very helpful in the class...they teach me how to draw a certain drawing technically which otherwise I would have never known..they all are very sweet!LOL!

I don't see any problem trying to get back on school desks or trying to make something worthwhile for yourself, in fact, that's a very smart way to do. We all deserve and have the right to learn and educate ourselves, I don't see any age bracket when going to classes or even in school. You really did a wise decision, we all should enjoy our time and use it purposefully..

I think that it is never to late to go back to education and learn about something that you are interested in. You are likely to enjoy your art work, improve your drawing and make new friends. When I was at university there were some older students and they were motivated and did really well in their studies.
