My 13 month old daughter has recently discovered music she loves it. Now every time she hears music she stops and dances. It does not matter what the music. She even dances differently to different types of music. My son loved music at this age also, but he did not get into it like she does. Did/Do your kids love music too? Do they dance around when they hear it?

Yes my daughter did. She still does! Sometimes if she is in the mood she'll dance with no music! We even turn the stereo on and dance around the house some days. Only no one is home! That would be embarrassing

One of my friends told me that her little sister would do that at times. This was when Debbie was about eight or nine--meaning that Kathey and I were 13 or 14 when this happened. One night, with no music on, Debbie just suddenly stood up in the living room and started dancing to some tune in her head. As I recall, she did that on more than one occasion.

My 14 month old son loves bouncing to the music. We watch american idol and loves it. When the songs end, he has started clapping. It is the cutest thing is the world.

Little ones are so sweet and cute. I have grandchildren and love watching them when they dance and sing. My 3 yr. old grandson has his own band. He sings, dances, plays his instruments. Sometimes he recruits his mom and I for band members and sometimes singers. He is so cute.

Hey, I love it when my niece dances. She's a bitty baby. Last weekend, she went poopy in the potty. So, I sang a potty song I invented for my daughter. "Big girls go, poppy in the potty, Poopy in the potty, Poopy in the potty, Big girls go, poopy in the potty, All day long." She danced to it. It was cute.

Definitely! My kids, ages 12, 10 and 6 all still get into music very much. The girls more than the boy. They loved High School Musical. And surprisingly, Grease is also one of their fav movies. One of the more recent "hot" music for them was in the movie Barnyard. In the song where they let out "Wild Mike" to dance...the kids absolutely HAVE to dance around wildly, much to the distress of our floors.

My daughter has even taken to car dancing. It is hilarious to see her dancing around while strapped in a car seat.

All my kids love music. My second youngest Aliyah started singing, not dancing at 14 months. Happy Day (Happy birthday). She is now 2 1/2 she doesn't talk much but sings, Happy Birthday, Twinkle twinkle, ABC song, Oh Canada and Jesus loves me. She sings them all by going do do do basically. Its really cool that even though she's 2 and doesn't talk to much she sings on tune. I thought maybe it just sounded like that to me but she was doing twinkle twinkle and I asked someone else (who sings) if they knew what song she was doing and they said Twinkle twinkle and were amazed that she was doing it on tune. She does dance too, her older brother and sister dance by holding oneanothers hands and spinning. Then Aliyah comes and holds her hands out for them to let her join. It's so cute when kids dance, especially when they first learn to do it.

So very cute. There is nothing like children is there. We noticed that my youngest could sing when he was very young. he is now a musician and plays electric, and acoustic guitar and mandolin. I love to hear him play and sing. He is very good. We need to encourge them when they are young.

When I was a few months old, my folks and I were eating in a diner in Spencer, Indiana. A song came on the jukebox, and I started keeping time to it. I bounced around so much that I ended up spitting up my Mommy milk!

lol..my 15 month old too! It's been around 2 months...and he dances...yes...really dances! He can't walk properly without toppling...but can he dance! My older one was interested in music too but he's not really a dancer...he is into singing and playing instruments...he's got a ear for music. But the little one I feel is the dancer.

My boys love dancing whenever any music comes on - especially my 2 year old. My husband is into rock music, so he has gotten the older boys hooked on rock as well.

Oh you brought back some memories with this one. I remember when how the kids all loved to dance to music. When they are little, they just don't have the inhibitions yet and are so much fun to watch. When I did foster care, we had our nightly dance sessions every night after supper. We'd put on music and the kids would dance all over the room, twirling, break-dancing, skipping, whatever, it was so much fun. Wore them out in time for bath, book and bed too.

Yes my 2 year old daughter and my 6 year old son both love to dance! My daughter and I have just started having a dance session in a morning that we do at home. We dance for about 20 minutes and she loves it! My son is pretty funny when he dances and has me in stitches, hes good but he has his own style of dancing that just makes me laugh.
