sleep with the flat sheet on your bed. Did you as a child?
I always slept with a flat sheet growing up and still do. But my girls would sleep on top of their's and just sleep with their comforter, fleece throw or quilt. I finally gave up and stopped putting them on their bed, since they would never crawl under it.
They are like this even in the early summer when you don't need the ac on. Too funny.

Yes I did as a child and did up until about 4 years ago. We sleep on a sofa sleeper, so I can't do that now, but as soon as we move and have a regular bed, I will have that back on the bed again. My daughter bought me a set of Egyption Sheets Cotton/Satin and I will not put them on the sofa bed.
I think it is because of too many covers. lol My hubby is the same way, but I love my sheet cover during the summer, it is much cooler :)
Good Luck with the kids

Oh I agree it is hard to keep a flat sheet on a sofa sleeper.
Today, I layed down after work and just threw the sheet on me and it was just right to take a little happy nappy.

I never did as a kid. I never made my bed either. I don't even know if I had a flat sheet around when I was a kid. I do have one now and I love having one now. I don't like the feel of just the blankets. Though my children have flat sheets I don't think they would care of they didn't. They can sleep anywhere while I have to have things just right.

Your kids sound like my husband. He can sleep anywhere, me it has to be a bed with a pillow. I can doze on the sofa but it's not the same.

We don't use a flat sheet. I was raised with one and it was ALWAYS at the bottom of the bed... So why dirty another sheet! LOL
My kids don't like them either. they have their bottom sheet and a comforter and that is all they have ever used!

Both my husband and son don't like sleeping with the flat sheet and so I have also stopped putting them on our beds. I always slept with one when I was a child and now we don't only because my husband doesn't like it and nor does my son.

yep! I did as a child and continue to to this day - not because I did it as a child but because it makes more sense to me to use it than to not use it. It is easier to wash sheets than it is to wash blankets - if the top sheet is not on then the blanket is what is wrapping around your body - plus I like the feel of the sheets :)
I put a sheet over the mattress (these are usually fitted these days though I like a flat sheet for this purpose better) and then a flat sheet over that - then the blanket and perhaps a comforter or bedspread or quilt. I sleep between the two sheets - one protecting the mattress the other protecting the blankets.

So you use a flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet over your mattress? Interesting. Never thought about doing that.
I love my flannel sheets in the winter and jersey sheets in the summer.
I agree it is easier to wash a set of sheets then a comforter every week. I usually febreeze it and it does get washed once a month.
I actually have two comforters on our bed. That way my husband and I won't in our sleep for extra blankets. LOL

We sleep with flat sheets on the bed.Or at least we start to. At some point we get twisted around at night. It ends up on the floor. But back on the bed it goes in the morning. My daughter can take the sheet or leave it.

Oh I hear you. I haven't had many problems with the flat sheet falling off the bed with our new bed.
I use to love our water bed because the flat and fitten sheet were hooked together. That was nice.
