Why the TAGS? Better to Skip or Submit?

With all discussions, responses and comments we can see to submit tags. How it help us?

Tags help us find discussions on subjects we are interested in and I've been using them often lately. Just type in the words you are looking for and up comes the discussions. I find them very helpful

well i am lazy too and i don't always submit the tags when i should when i reply to a discussion (but i always add them when i start one though!) tags are keywords that assist people while looking for a certain subject.
