Is this a correct assumption?

Is it correct to assume you would earn more to post the exact same thing in a discussion that was more popular rather than a discussion that only had a couple responses? Keep in mind, as I said, this is comparing the same exact post. Let's assume it is a quality post with valid content and about ten lines of text...

I believe that that is technically correct, and incorrect at the same time. Because I believe you get more if your response is responded to as well, so in a more active discussion the chances are that your response will be responded to more and thus earn you that little extra. Of course I could be way off base here, I am not 100% certain, that is just the impression I got.

I see. Assuming your response is more likely to get another response in the more popular discussion, and all other factors taken into consideration, I definitely think you'd earn more by doing this. I was pretty sure I was right, but not 100% sure, so I figured I'd toss the question out there.

I wasn't planning on making identical posts. I was simply throwing out a hypothetical question, but I do see your points and appreciate the input.
