Is the deal with any place that lets you stay there to try to get you to buy timeshare legit? Is it a real deal. I'm looking at the Summer Bay Resorts, and I'm about to go with them, but I just want others opinion. I know they will try to get us to buy timeshare, but is it legit that we will stay in the resorts for free and use some ammentities for free? Someone please let me know. Thanks.

¿ Legit ? Yes this practice of inviting prospective buyers to stay a couple nights is legit, and it is a common industry practice, but the "free-stay" come-on has been diminishing over the years. Properties offering "free-stay" are typically higher end resorts. The units offered, if not all the units, are usually defined as "fractional ownership" instead of being classified as "time-shares". Fractionals are typically quarter-shares, sometimes 1/12 shares - meaning you purchase ownership in blocks of one or three months. Traditional time-shares are sold by the week, and some chains use some kind of point system. Do your research - due-diligence - or you'll get screwed by time-shares.
