Have you ever found yourself searching for something throughout your house then open a closet door to find something that made you think out loud, "Why is this in my closet?" Well I was looking for some light bulbs for my dining room chandelier and happened across these 2 containers of 2 cycle oil. They are for my snowblower, weed wacker, lawnmower etc. Not for anything inside the house. I thought, now why the hell are these in my closet in the house? I have no use for them in here. I bought some 2 cycle oil recently as I thought I had none. Well duhhh, check all your closets from now on Grandpa Bob. So what odd things have you found in your closets? What things are there that have no reason whatso ever being in the closet? Did or have you found things you totally forgot about over time? Please share your stories friends and other members. Thanks in advance also.

Having a Felix Unger type husband at home all day with nothing better to do than rearrange the closets an other storage places, I have found that I search for things a bit more. I found some cleanser in the bathroom which should be under the sink in the kitchen. I have found cat food in the kitchen cupboard when it should be in the guest bathroom with the other cat food. I opened the medicine cabinet in the guest bathroom and found insoles of various sizes neatly stacked inside. No peroxide though. My hubby says everything has a place. Well, the jigsaw doesn't go on top of the litter box in the hallway. Maybe he plans to cut the crap. LOL.

I am the same way with the kitchen cabinets mostly. I am the one that TRYS to keep them organized. I get irritated after we shop and the wife just sticks things wherever she finds room for them. I usually have to hunt for things to make me and dad dinner and they are never where they should be. Cat food in the kitchen cupboard? Too funny! Now insoles in a mdeicine chest would be a hilarious find as well. Nothing has a place. It's places that have things. HAPPY EASTER!

This is one of my problems and spent an hour trying to find a rake this morning. My favorite rake was in the coat closet. It must mean my husband doesn't want me to spend Easter weeding and making smooth rows. I can't see any reason that he would hide it normally.
I found some of my plant signs under the bed. My planting area is a mess, but I'm sure this week it will look great again. He has already heard the UV Light is going up tomorrow, as one of the ponds is turning green. It has algae clumps looks bad. Its to hot now or it would go up today. I felt faint, so stopped working today.

Oh lord my garage is another story in itself. I keep saying each spring I am going to wall the inside and add shelves. But have yet to do it after almost 5 years now. Tools and things are scattered all over the place. But I know where everything is. That's my story and I'm sticking to it even though I lost the snowblower this morning.
Joking. I've been talking about building a water garden pon in my back yard for a couple years. Some day I will have one I am sure. If the wife allows me that is.

Nothing really weird in my closet that I know of, but I did
find the envelopes in the freezer part of my refrigerator one day. I'm not sure why they were there. The only thing I can say is that normally I sit them on top of the fridge...so I was pretty darn close.

Yes, I have found stuff in my closets that didn't belong there. I was away from home for awhile and my husband was left to do the cleaning. I am guessing that most of the cleaning didn't take place until the day before I got home!
I came home and found soy sauce packets in my bedroom closet! Up on the shelf! Uh ok? I know that he used the computer in the bedroom while I was gone with the laptop, so he probably ate chinese take out in there too.
In his frantic attempt at cleaning he threw the packets in the closet. I just now asked him why he put them in the closet of all places. His response, "Umm, I don't know!" while laughing.

Seems most men wait till the very last moment to get the house etc clean before the wife returns from wherever. I am not like that as I am the one that's home all day etc. Soy packets in the closet? Too funny. At least it wasn't leftovers though huh?

Ok, it is not a me story, but a store of one of my ex-boyfriends mothers. She was notorious for putting things in the wrong places. She would put frozen waffles in the cabinet. I found a box in there one time that looked like it had been in there for weeks. Another time her checkbook got melted and burnt in the oven because for some reason she put it in there and a few days later turned the oven on.

Frozen food in a cabinet is a good one.
Umm, does she suffer from dementia maybe?
Just kidding.

After we had moved here I found an old coat that Ihad forgotten about since it was totally too small for me, tooworn out and totally ugly to boot. I had thought that I threw the thing out but no there it was buried under other stuff. that ugly grungy looking coat given to me by a once friend who thought I needed something heavy to keep me warm here in southern California whereit does not get thatcold. the thing looked like suede that had been used by some dog or cat as a nesting place.yuck
