Hubby just commented to me not to try and call him on his way to work because he will be riding his motorcycle. Duh, I said because a) you wouldn't hear the phone and b) it's not safe. So have you ever seen someone riding down the road on a motorcycle talking on a cellphone? Just curious. I honestly don't think I have.

I don't think I have. I don't see how they could actually hear anything. I was at the bus stop yesterday and on my cell, calling my hubby, and I could hardly hear a thing with all the traffic and I was sitting on a bench waiting for a bus that was 30 minutes late! I heard they are trying to make TEXTING against the law while driving. lol I said that is stupid, they need to make talking on the phone illegal as well!

I meant that texting is with a cell phone, so it should be illegal to even have it in your hand while you are driving. I believe it all should be illegal. I almost got hit by someone not paying attention, because she was moving her mouth with the phone to her ear not texting. I am in total agreement with you

I believe that texting should be illegal while driving. I'm personally not into texting, I guess because I am older. Now I know some of the teachers that I know that are younger, are really into it. Too me it can't be that important so why not wait until you can call someone.

No I have never seen anyone talking while riding on a motorcycle. I have seen them pulled over on the side of the road talking on a cell phone but never while riding down the road. I will be watching for it now.

Well I did someone riding a scooter down the side of the road yesteday talking on his cellphone. This guy is the "joker" of the neighborhood. It figures, he has already been hit while riding his scooter - you would think he would learn.

About a year ago I saw a rider on the back of a bike talking on a cell phone. They weren't the driver, but I don't know how they could hear. They had on one of those shorty helmets, but the wind noise on a motorcycle would make it near impossible to hear. Plus, it was a Harley. Talk about an object of futility! As for myself, it seems that about every 10th time I'm on my motorcycle I get a call. I have my phone on vibrate so I know when someone calls. I usually pull over and call them back.

LOL. That is one thing I do not ever recall seeing either. I am curious to know if someone else has seen this too. It would not surprise me one bit if someone out there is doing this or have seen it.

I have never seen that, our cell phones are normally in the tourpak, since like you stated you wouldn't hear it anyway, and we have a harley, so there is no way you would hear whoever is trying to talk to you lol. Unless they had bluetooth, and a really quiet motorcycle, I've never seen it. I have seen plenty of people driving and trying to talk on the phone that shouldn't be!

Oh I agree, I try not to talk while I am driving. I don't want that to be the reason I had an accident.
