Since the inclusion of Poland and other East European countries to the European Community, the UK has seen a huge influx of migrant workers. Many of these are Poles and they certainly have a first class work ethic and know how to play hard too. If you go to many of the clubs in this area you will find Poles, men and women dancing. Like many young people they love to dance to modern western pop music but they also have a rich music and dance tradition too. We recently went to a Polish friend's 50th birthday party. She had hired some traditional Polish dancers to come and entertain us. The dances looked quite simple and straightforward, but when I was given the opportunity to try one out, well that was a different story. Imagine if you will a somewhat portly man in his late 40s, trying very hard to look as though dancing with Poles was something that he does every weekend. Attached to his left arm was an attractively dressed young lady wearing a white dress, red jerkin and straw hat with flowers in it as decoration. We bobbed up and down. Easy. We stuck our legs out and shook them. I regularly do that after I've been to the toilet. I can shake my leg with the best. A little hop. Down to a squat and then. Well. Have you ever seen Russian Cossack dancers with their arms folded, in a squat position their legs moving horizontally before them. That was her. I was acquainting the floor with my posterior, whilst my left leg went out in front, and my right straight out behind. Some call it the Splits. I call it send for an ambulance. So yes. I have done some Pole dancing.

Pole Dancing - Yeah right, you'd have to be pretty darn strong and in relatively in good shape to get on the pole! It sure isn't me!!
IF I could get my big A on the pole! LOL Sorry charlie, it can't happen here no matter how much I'd want to. lol But if I could, it would give everyone a good laugh! LOL

The only poles I need are from Warsaw and believe me, they have much more flexibility and are warmer to the touch. They do a great job on my lawns too! LOL
