Guided By The Dead

I have heard some persons say that a particular loved one who had passed on is watching over them. They say they know this because they would see them in a dream and the dead person would give them some guidance regarding some aspect of their lives. It may be in relation to a dicision they had to make and the deceased told them what do or it may be a warning not to go somewhere or not do somethings. I have no such experience but I am curious to know if there's anyone here mylot who has such an experience.
