When was the last time you cooked outside?

It is just starting to warm up in my part of the globe, but today it's RAINING! I sometimes feel like I'm never gonna get back outdoors and do some REAL cooking!
When did you last get outside and grill or cook? Do you have a fancy outdoor "oven", a few stones and a fire pit, or somewhere in between?
I'm getting myself psyched up for summer!

I think the last time that any cooking was done outside was last year in June. Last year in UK was awful, it rained for the whole summer, but this one day it looked like it was going to be nice. So we had just set everything up outside and got the barbeque going, and the heavens opened!! So hubby got the barbeque in the garage and carried on cooking and we just ate the food in the house, so it was still nice, just not the same. We are having our garden done this year, so we are hoping that we get plenty of nice weather to have some nice barbeques in a nice garden.

The last time my husband and I had a barbecue was last year at a lake not far from our home. The only problem was that I had a freak accident while at the lake that consisted of a sinker going 2 inches into the back of my knee. After surgery and physical therapy I am soooo ready to get to the lake and have some fun!

I got to cook in the rain once last year, and it's always FUN! HaHa!
My problem is I love the rain too! I'm thinking of redoing the patio with an overhang of some kind so I can always cook outside when it's raining!

I have not grilled outside since las summer. I am so ready to grill some steaks on the grill. We have a Trager grill which is flameless and uses flavored pellets instead of charcoal. I really like the hickory flavor we are going to try oak next.

cooking outside is one of my favorite things to do.. and no, i dont have a fancy outdoor oven. the way i look at it ya might as well just cook inside doing it that way. ive got a fire circle.. surrounded by stones. i spend a good 2 hours at least working up the perfect bed of wood coals to cook over, and then have at it. breakfast eary morning is awesome cooked over some nicely seasoned oak.. steak & eggs.. yum cannot wait to break out my cast iron frypan this year!
