7 years or longer. Do you assume it it junk and throw it away, or open it and read it?

I have to answer things in my maiden name. Oh, wait, I'm a guy. Guess that's expected.

I am not married, so I guess this questions does not really apply to me. I will answer hypothetically. If I had been married for almost 7 years and it comes to me with my maiden name on it I would be tempted to just toss it. I would probably end up opening it though just to see what it was.

No not at all..but I never changed my name when I got married and have no intention of doing so..so when mail comes in my "maiden" name OR with my husbands last name I always check out what it is first..

I open some of it see what it is and exactly who it is from. I get alot of junk mail these days. Alot of it goes straight into the trash after seeing and ripping it up without opening it.

This actually just happened to me yesterday! I still live (with my husband and kids) in the house I grew up in. My mom lives a few houses down, and has had a life insurance policy on me and my sister since we were kids. It isn't much, enough to bury each of us if something happened unexpectedly. Anyway, the renewal notice came to my house in my maiden name, and I nearly shredded it without opening it. I changed my mind at the last second and then I totally freaked out. I thought someone had stolen my identity at first. My mom just happened to call while I was yelling about it, and then she LAUGHED AT ME! It was pretty funny. I now have an appointment to have the policy changed into my married name. ROFL, good discussion!
