I just read a discussion that just reminded me of something that I wanted to share here. He was saying he need some money fast for a home improvement and he wasn't asking us for money.
So here's what I heard on the news recently, here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There was a woman who wanted breast inplants and she didn't have the money for it. Well it cost $6,000 and so she wanted it so bad she started a blogg about it and she was asking the public for donations for her to have this operation. You won't believe it, or maybe you would, but people actually donated money to her. She raised in one month, are you sitting down because you will need to?, $15,000.
Can you imagine people donating to this? I was in shock when I heard it. And so were a lot of other people or it wouldn't have made the news, if not. Would you donate money to something like this? I would love to hear other people's opinions on this because I am still in shock as I am typing this, or is it just me, and I am just an old fudey dudey.

Talk about audacity! I admire her cheek, I really really do, for someone to actually put a blog about wanting money for her own selfish reasons and actually getting the money, well it's beggar's belief, I would NEVER give a single cent to that type of person, sorry but that is just selfishness but on the other hand you have got to admire her, really admire her, for having the guts to do it! Amazing. The old adage if you don't ask! And people actually donated? Good grief! I don't know who's the more stupid in all this?

I really really want to say I can't believe it, but I know it happens. Why people are that stupid to do something like that I dont' know. Maybe if it were a health problem or seomthing like that, but who knows if they are really going to use the money as they say. Wonder how many of them were men that "donated".
Maybe I should start a blog for help with a retirement account. I was never fortunate to work for a company that had that - or any other savings program like 401k or anything, lived pay check to pay check cause the wages are so low and had nothing left to put for savings for 30 years later. I have nothing now and have 15 years to "retirement" age of 65. Wonder what would happwn...

Well this world is a much sorrier shape than I thought if this really did happen.
I wonder if the people that gave so willingly would do the same for a mother struggling to feed her children?
She probably promised to show pictures of her new prizes for the people that donated.
How stupid.
