"August Rush" tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square.
That's all I will tease you with. My 11 year old originally wanted to watch it but decided she didn't want to, so after dinner I sat down to watch it and it is a wonderful movie. I personally think it was too deep for an 11 year old but my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Robin Williams was excellent, such a weasel. Keri Russell and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers were wonderful. I didn't know Jonathan, from General Hospital, could sing!!!

Ok now this is a movie? I ask because I thought it was a book, but you mention Robin Williams, so that leads me to think it's a movie.
I have not heard of the movie, but then again, I don't pay attention to commercials. lol I am usually up washing dishes or something. :)
I think I will have to rent the movie to see. I adore Robin Williams. Loved him in RV

I just hope this one is better than the one he did a while back where he was the film developer and was stalking a family. lol That movie was BORING!

i thought it looked like it would be a good movie. is it a tear jerker? i'd probably cry watching it. i cry at the drop of a hat anymore lol. seems like having kids turned me into a ball of mush. i'll have to get it next weekend if we rent movies. i didn't even know robin williams was in it. he's one of my favorite actors.

I usually cry at the drop of a hat, always have been that way but this one I didn't cry. Towards the end I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat.
I just asked DH if he thought the movie was a tear jerker and he said he shed a couple of tears.
I hope you get to watch it!!!!
