A shrimp's heart is in its head. The "sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick" is said to be the toughest tongue twister in the English language. Rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, two rats could have over a million descendants. Wearing headphones for just an hour will increase the bacteria in your ear by 700 times. If the government has no knowledge of aliens, then why does Title 14,Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations, implemented on July 16 1969, make it illegal for U.S. citizens to have any contact with extraterrestrials or their vehicles? In every episode of Seinfeld there is a Superman somewhere. A duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why. 23% of all photocopier faults world-wide are caused by people sitting on them and photocopying their butts. Most lipstick contains fish scales. Like fingerprints, everyone's tongue print is different. If you sneeze too hard, you can fracture a rib. If you try to suppress a sneeze, you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die. If you keep your eyes open by force, they can pop out. In a study of 200,000 ostriches over a period of 80 years, no one reported a single case where an ostrich buried its head in the sand. It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky. A pregnant goldfish is called a twit. More than 50% of the people in the world have never made or received a telephone call. Horses can't vomit. Butterflies taste with their feet. In 10 minutes, a hurricane releases more energy than all of the world's nuclear weapons combined. On average, 100 people choke to death on ballpoint pens every year. On average people fear spiders more than they do death. Ninety percent of New York City cabbies are recently arrived immigrants. Thirty-five percent of the people who use personal ads for dating are already married. Elephants are the only animals that can't jump. Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older. It's possible to lead a cow upstairs...but not downstairs. Women blink nearly twice as much as men. It's physically impossible for you to lick your elbow. The Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed t o take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building. A snail can sleep for three years. No word in the English language rhymes with "MONTH." Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing. The electric chair was invented by a dentist. All polar bears are left handed. In ancient Egypt, priests plucked EVERY hair from their bodies, including their eyebrows and eyelashes. An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard. "Go," is the shortest complete sentence in the English language. If Barbie were life-size, her measurements would be 39-23-33. She would stand seven feet, two inches tall. A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out. The cigarette lighter was invented before the match. Americans on average eat 18 acres of pizza every day. Almost everyone who reads this email will try to lick their elbow. Don't forget to pass these weird facts on to everyone you know. They will get a kick out of it. Smile at everyone you see today! It will make you feel good and it's contagious. Did you try to lick your elbow, hehe. I thought this was fun and wanted to share, my Uncle just sent this to me.

I am debunker so expect a lot of comments from me...the duck quack does echo..so that is wrong. Title 14,Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations, implemented on July 16 1969 - this is debunked in snopes.com There are references to Superman and he does have a superman on his book shelf but not sure if it is seen in every episode. This is a link to a legit site of computer problems and butt pictures is not on them http://www.discountcopiers.co.uk/common%20digital%20copier%20faults.htm Fish scales in lipstick - The ingredient under discussion is called pearl essence. (Some sources give this as "pearlescence.") It's the silvery stuff found in fish scales that's used in some lipsticks, nail polishes, ceramic glazes, etc., to make them shimmery. Pearl essence is obtained primarily from herring and is one of many by-products of large-scale commercial fish processing. Synthetic versions have been developed, but to what extent they've supplanted the natural variety I hesitate to say. The cosmetics companies were not forthcoming and I got contrary stories from different industry observers. Fishermen still collect the stuff, though, and one presumes it's being put to good use. sneezing -- http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/sneeze.asp Goldfish don't get pregnant..they are egg layers PHone call - that is a statistic that was true in 1996. Horse vomit - it is rare but a horse can vomit and live Animals can't jump -- sloths, hippopotami and probably sea cows and various burrowing rodents Enough...I can't do anymore

em]confused[/em] Oh a lot of these, I kept finding myself saying, Really. Those were some pretty cool facts. I was em]confused[/em]about the ballpoint pen one. How does a person choke on a ballpoint pen. I know that people like to put pens in their mouth. I guess it would slide down their throat. I do not know, that one is odd, LOL.

I thought that was was odd too. But we know there are lots of odd people in this world. I am not sure if they are all facts or not, I thought some of it was cute and wanted to share. Have a good night, and don't be chewing on any pens.

Hi Polly.. After chatting with you on my site I wanted to drop by and say hi to you here. I saw this post and found it interesting...and then I read the debunker guy's comments and still thought the discussion is great! Even if part of it is truth these kind of ponderisms are always enjoyable to read. The growing eyes and ears info is really fascinating to me. That explains what we tend to look odd as we age...bigger noses, ears and eyes and more shrunken in faces. Oh well it is probably a good thing our sense organs grow...or we might end up blind, deaf and with no sense of smell. I'll take the bigger body parts if that means I can maintain other pleasures. Anyway, good, fun topic...and great to be back in touch. I know we will keep in touch...because we always do...just as friends do in our physical world as well. Enjoy the lovely weather...so long for now.. Raia

I remember getting the same email from someone several weeks ago. Regarding the elbow licking: What is the name of the guy from the rock band Kiss, the one with the really long tongue ... he'd probably be able to lick his elbow.
