Payless living up to the name

As you may know from a previous discussion that I started - I am in need of purchasing a high heeled shoe - that has a wide base (not a spikey type of heel) so that when my cast comes off my bad ankle will have time to stretch back down to the floor, and to avoid further injury to it. I ended up checking out payless shoe source.. I used the mypoints link so that will give me 2 points back per dollar spent. I looked at the sales items and found 4 pairs of shoes - 2 for myself, 1 for my d/h and one for one of my children. They were all on sale - and the sales prices saved me $56 off of their regular prices. Because the sale was above $50 I qualified for free standard shipping... an additional $10 savings! I then checked out www.currentcodes.com which lists active coupon and promotional codes for websites they showed a code for $5 off an order above $28 so that took another $5 off of my order! I could have never received such great discount at the physical store - and if I were to drive out there it would have taken me 6 gallons of gas for another total of roughly $20 saved. sometimes it really pays to shop online! my total for 4 pairs of shoes comes to $52.97 although I just noticed there is a $3.03 tax added in - still all in all, not bad! www.payless.com

I have been in that store a few times and actually saw a few things that I liked and I know that alot of people don't really care to shop in that store but honestly I don't see anything wrong with the store because most of them that I have been in they have the same quality but just cheaper on their shoes and I mean if yo udon't like that it's your choice but I always thought that everyone was looking for more and more ways to make money...and then to save their money but that was always what I just thought...and when you go to payless I think that you will get alot of bettter deals then if you were to go to the mall and maybe pay eighty to a hundred dollars for a pair of shoes that you can get at the payless shoe store... I have never been one to pay a lot of money for shoes! Won't do it for my girls either. If I can't get them for less than $20 I don't want them. I was just reading an internet article about a gal who found shoes and is actually painting them to match her outfits. She got the shoes off of craigslist so all it cost her was the acrylic paint. They turned out really good.

That is brilliant Modestah and not only because of the price but because you are going to get the shoes in time for getting your cast off! xxx

Don't you love it when you find a good deal online and then can find a code to make it better? I did that last week with Limited Too. They had 50% off their already clearanced clothing and then I found a code for another 25%, then I am getting their Too Bucks, which will be used in conjuction with B1G1F webkinz for a birthday party. Having that extra 25% was the shipping and sales tax, plus no driving anywhere. Plus for $54 I got 7 tops for my girls, which I can't ever find those deals in the B&M Store of Limited Too!

yay! and it probably took less time than perusing the physical store, huh? as you do not have to struggle against racks being shoved too close together etc.

Wow.......great score! For me when I shop it's not about the shopping but what's the best deal! I'll have to check out payless online and I am glad you found the right kind of shoes!

jill, I actually have you to thank for it... you mentioned fantastic shoes or something similar as a suggestion and when I was looking over their website I wondered if that is another name for payless - so I went to mypoints to see if there was a payless website and voila!
