Hillary Compares Herself to Rocky? Get real!

Hillary Clinton is no Rocky! Rocky had character and integrity and values. I'm not saying that Hillary doesn't have values because I think it was very hard for her to stay with Bill Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky incident. I guess my question is what was her motive for staying with him? I've never believed that she stayed with Bill Clinton because she is a dutiful or loyal wife. I believe that she and Bill Clinton made a pact a long time ago that he would run for the presidency and then she would have her shot. I think they planned this for years and she stuck with him because that was part of the plan. I feel sorry for her in many ways because it must have been horrible to live through all of the humiliation he's put her through. However, I don't think that either Hillary or Bill counted on a Barack Obama to come along and throw a wrench in their plan. I guess, in that sense, Hillary is like Rocky because she hasn't quit and she's gone the distance. The only problem with her theory is that Rocky didn't win his first fight. It was a draw and the reigning champion was declared the winner. I don't know whether the nominee will be Hillary or Obama but I sort of hope for Hillary's sake that she gets the nomination. I don't think she'll be elected President and I don't think Obama will either but they've both fought a hard race. The problem with both of them is that I don't think either one of them has what it takes to run this country and hold the respect of the rest of the world. I think they are both way too idealistic and unprepared to handle the office. Hillary is more prepared than Obama because of her husband's time in office but I don't think she is what the people of this country want in office. Until today, I didn't realize just how prepared and able McCain is for the White House. We need a strong leader who can stand his ground and command the respect of the rest of the world. He's the only one running who meets those qualifications.

McCain has one SERIOUS problem - he doesn't appeal to the youth of this country and as Obama has shown, they can TRULY influence the vote. (In some of the areas he has won by small margins, and if the 18-24 voters hadn't shown up in strong numbers he would've lost.) The other thing McCain doesn't have is a lock on some red states. For instance, I'm in Utah and Obama has a HUGE backing here. I honestly am not sure if McCain will actually win Utah as a lot of people I talk to are starting to sway over to Obama. The same can be said for Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming. All red states - but all of them having a surprisingly high number of Obama supporters. Additionally, McCain isn't so hot at public speaking and has contradicted himself on several occasions. If he ends up going against Obama, honestly, I think he's not going to do so well. I actually think it's a long shot that ANY GOP candidate will become president because so many people are angry with the Bush administration. There's just too many people upset with the GOP right now. Moving onto Hillary - I do wish she would quit, but I understand why she doesn't. I don't think she's anything like Rocky, though.

I think John McCain is able to win and run the country with wisdom that the other two just don't have. Sure, he has a temper, but that means he has passion to lend to the office in standing up for the USA internationally and for right values at home.

Quick complaint - I HATE that I can't copy and paste. It's driving me crazy. Moving on, I think you should see a little clip about McCain's view on his own experience. It's very entertaining, even if you don't believe it. http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/videos.jhtml?videoId=163285
