Text Shopping?!

I just got through reading an article about "text shopping"! Are you kidding me?? I like to text as much as the next person but this is insane! Amazon.com has created a way that allows consumers to shop through the text message. I wonder how safe this is? Would you use a service like this one? I am almost positive I never will.

Thats what I think too. I really don't want to be sending payment information over my cell phone. There are enough ways out there to get your identity stolen. I don't think we need another!

I am not a texter (unless forum posting is considered texting, heh) but even if I were I could not see the benefit or necessity of this feature... I do not think that I would like it at all, myself. perhaps there is a certain clientèle that would jump at the opportunity, but I am not amongst them.

I am not either. My cell phone even has a full pull out keyboard with Instant messenger. My husband begged me to go to his gym with him last night which means I sit with the baby while he does MMA with his buddies. My sister texted me to get online but I was not home so I signed in through my phone. After a couple of minutes I just called her because I really don't like typing on the phone even with a keyboard. I really can't see myself shopping with it either.

No way, this is going to be used by hackers again to send malicious text messages that will eat up your credit once you replied to their number. And even if they are legitimate sites you still have to spend on sending them messages from your phone. I would still opt for the online shopping.

I agree, the technology that alows us to do it is kind of neat but I think the whole texting thing is getting way out of hand. I have said before if it continues to grow 100 years from now people will have forgotten how to speak and all comunication will be done electronically, this will also bring and end to decent music.

I guess it is a good thing I will be long gone in 100 years! We have become pretty technologically dependent.
