Changing channels on TV

Do you always change channels on TV when a commercial is shown? I do at most times. Especially when I watch a local show, a lot of infomercials are shown in between and I get impatient and annoyed with some commercials that I switch in between channels. Then I get back to see if the show is back.
Are you guilty of this?

I often changed the channels when they got commercial breaks.
Some commercials are just annoying and I don’t feel guilty to skip them. LOL.
I would change the channel back to the previous one only to check if the show had been back or not. If they still had the commercials, I would switch to the others again, until I got the show back. :P
Oh my ... I'm grateful that we have other channels to switch.

no I do not i see no point in it and I would be very upset if I was sitting down watching a program and my son kept changing the channel at the break, sometimes you don't come back at the right time and I miss my program.

I don't change channels, as don't want to miss part of the show, which could easily happen channel surfing. Many times I'll turn the television up, so I can hear it from the kitchen. Its the perfect time to peel potatoes or get all the items together to make dinner like the pans I'll need and spoons for stirring.
How do you keep from missing part of the show? I wouldn't be happy missing an important scene on the show. Some shows can be hard to understand, if I just missed a big piece like Heroes, Prison Break, and Lost.

My husband does all the time as he likes to watch basketball in between our programs. It doesn't bother me unless he forgets to change it back and I've missed the first few minutes of the show - that ticks me off because I spend a little time trying to figure out what happened LOL

I'm very guilty of this or I'll hit the mute button because I hate watching commercials because most of them are repeat repeat and repeats AND they're loud and obnoxious which to me is uncalled for.

I normally use the time of commercial breaks to conclude tasks. Lots of tasks can be piece meal, like vacuuming, dusting, cleaning....so I will do these tasks...or even the chopping of veggies, etc for a meal during commercials. Tasks don't seem as tedious when I do them this way.
