loose weight sensibly

Dieting is not new to most people who are overweight. Some are so incensed at what their friends are saying about them that they will go without food for a short period of time, only to return again to their former habits. Going to extremes rearly does any permanent good. The only solution is a completely new pattern of living, such as these simple steps outlined. 1. Take smaller quantities of food. Continue with a balanced diet. Quality and not quantity should be the rule. Be sure to include reasonable amount of whole grain cereals in your diet. Eating slowly helps. Avoid all food that are oily or high in fat. 2. Be careful about leftovers. Many housewives put on weight because they hate to see food wasted. Far better to prepare less food and avoid the problem of left overs. 3. Stop nibbling between meals. Train yourself to get along on less food. Soon you will enjoy living on reduced diet 4. Sensible excercise every day will help to use up those extra calories. The best is walking. Putting ones large leg muscles to work will burn up unwanted calories. 5. Avoid rich desserts. All that excess sugar and fat is high calories and low in food value. Stay clear of icecreams, pastry, rich cakes and sweets. 6. Remember regular eating is imortant. Your meals should be smaller than average,well preapared and attractively arranged on teh table. 7. Be sure you have a good breakfast. This will carry you through the day, and your will be less tempted to nibble sweets and snacks between meals. 8. Use these foods freely. Green leafy vegetables, tomatoes and carrots. They are all low in calories , but high in vitamins and minerals and have real food value. Such things can also be used to ward off hunger pains between meals, if you must have something I am now working on this patern for the past two months and have seen significant improvement in my figure. Try this out.

What a wonderful collection of advice. You have written practical ideas to reduce weight and since you yourself are applying the same, hope we also adopt your suggestions, we will also be able to control our weight.

You have to be careful what vegetables you eat though, For instance, carrots are a carb and have a lot of sugar in them so they are high in calories. Same with peas and corn. The rule is the greener the vegetable the better for you and the less calories. I know I have changed my whole eating habits the last couple months and I have lost 20 lbs. I need to lose another 20 lbs. but now that my body is used to taking in fewer calories it is burning them off a lot slower so now I have to up my exercises. I clean houses for a living and since I sweat like crazy I thought I was getting enough exercises but apparently not.
