This is a shocker. The man concerned is from my home city.
He was brutally beaten, & then thrown into a fire pit on an American beach. He suffered multiple fractures, third-degree burns to 15 per cent of his body and other injuries.
The victim has been in hospital for five weeks.
Apparently what saved this 26 year old man, were a couple of homeless people on the beach who saw what happened & dragged him out.
The perpetrators have been caught.
What kind of sick people are our society producing to do such a gross act?
The news article is here:
He suffered multiple fractures, third-degree burns to 15 per cent of his body and other injuries.

I heard about this too and wondered the same thing. I can't understand how anybody can be so mean and cruel. I feel for the guy too because I had a boyfriend who was burned over 50% of his body with third degree burns and he suffered terribly. Recovery is long and grueling. I hope they hang these jerks out to dry!!

Society has a lot to answer for, it letting people like this run around freely. Or is it the fault of their parents? Who knows!

You know, I asked my husband about our country and what is wrong with us?! Because we don't hear about other countries having such problems with people like we do. We don't hear about the crimes of other countries and I wonder if we're the worst as far as crime goes and is it because we have so much freedom that it's being abused....? Or is it that our country doesn't hear about others crimes? I don't know but I do wonder about society as a whole.

This is terrible , More and more people are getting of with crimes like this , I don't read the papers now as I get so upset with horrible things like this , the people who should be dealing with crimes like this don't care , but if someone steals money they get angry and put them in jail , this world is going to hell xx

Society indeed has a lot to answer for if they are not dealing with people who perpetuate such atrocities.

Wow, thank goodness someone saved him. People are just doing such violent things now. I hope he recovers completely and they prosecute the perpetrators but good.

He was in hospital for five weeks, but has sufficiently recovered now. They caught the people who did it. Now we hope they get suitable punishment.

Good they caught the perps. How about stamping the word SCUM on their foreheads while they get chased via flamethrowers... -_- (in addition to the jail sentence of course)
Pathetic people.
At least the victim lived, and it was good that others did save him from the situation.

It was a particularly gruesome act of violence & apparently for no real reason. Yes, I hope they have a very difficult time in jail. These sorts of people usually do.
