I clean a Neurologist's office and I always see pamphlets about the 'Pins and Needles' problem you are talking about. Everytime I'm there, I think 'I hope I never get that!' (I don't want to be on any meds).
But one night it happened to me! And the following day when I was on the computer too! I did NOT want to be a victim of whatever it is, so I got up and went for a long walk!... And it went away!
I also always twich and jump as I'm falling asleep. Especially if I'm falling asleep on my back. If I lay on my side it doesn't happen.

I get them both in my hands and in my feet. Sometimes from being sedentary (watching TV, etc...) and sometimes after I have done something that puts strain on them (walking in the mall or going bowling).
I don't know if it is something to worry about. I have told my doctor about it and she did not think it was. Everything with my heart is fine so hopefully I am in the clear!
Great question
Thanks
