A member of my family has just informed me she has addisons disease, could anyone tell me anything about it at all please? Do you have it yourself or do you know somone who does?
Are there any aromatherapy or holistic products which may help, I've had a look at my own products but can't find any reference to Addisons disease at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is a disease when your body cannot produce certain vital hormones in your body - corticosteroids (from the adrenal gland). The only therapy is to give lifelong steroids at the right dose to these people and adjust the dose when they are sick or "under stress"
I dont think any other therapy will help.
I looked for some links and am posting them

Addison's disease is an adrenal imbalance

There seems to be lots of information on this site. You will need to scroll down quite a way for the aromatherapy info but, if I have read it correctly, ginseng is the main basic recommendation.

This one has more natural remedy information.
