Who remembers polyester leisure suits?

Do you think they'll ever come back into fashion like bell bottoms and flip flops have done? Or are they better left buried in the past?

I think they are what used to be called 'shell suits' in the UK. I have no idea why, unless it was something you could throw on quickly if you suddenly found yourself in the middle of shellfire! They were ugly, a fire hazard and tended to be worn by a certain class of people roughly equivalent to what you call 'rednecks'! Now, bell-bottoms are quite a different matter! They are from the era when I had long hair to wear and was 'in my prime' (as they say)!

My dad wore a polyester suit to my wedding! Spiffy!! :O)

Yes, luckily for me my parents new better than to stick me in one of those things, I did have friends that wore them to school dances and other events like that.
