How do the telemarketers knows my number?

my dear friend, do you mean that you received the call from your mobile or from your landed phone? what i know if you received call from landed phone, perhaps she just choose your name randomly from the book phone that the phone provider printed in for general purpose. and if you received the call from your mobile, perhaps she has data which printed from company who handling about the data base of people. anyway, i am getting currious too that how could you know the caller was from china female? how could you know that she is chinnese? knowing that the caller is female can be gotten from the voice but about the person type?

I would like to know too. because I often have some calls from certain companies offering me various things and I just don't have idea how they got my mobile phone number. it seems like either the bank employees have betrayed the customers' trust on them or something else. I don't know if my close friends would ever reveal my private numbers. the top suspect for me right now is my bank's employees, because I know some marketers do get their friends (that are working on banks) collect the customers' telephone numbers.

I am not not really sure how they get our phone number. I do think that our telephone provider gives that information out. I also think that other companies give our information otu to others also when we sign up for things. They sell our telephone numbers also to other people so the telemarketers can call us.
