Have you ever felt really sleepy and yet cannot fall asleep for some reasons you have to finish something and have to stay all through the night? Ever felt sleepy yet you cannot fall asleep? Having these feelings gives me a big headache and later catch up on my sleep. Now, its been days I'm missing participating here in myLot and I'm taking a break from all this projects I'm finishing and lacking sleep gives me a headache. Ever felt sleepy yet cannot fall asleep? What is it felt like to you?

Well, really miserable. I remember my head and eyes ‘screaming’ for sleeping, but there was a big project I still needed to rush for. I hope I would never experience any similar situation again, because by the next day I woke up, the whole part of this body felt as if it was broken.

Yeah it really sucks to feel that way and right now I am and will be getting to sleep soon. Oh how 24 hours seem not enough in a day isnt it? « Gab »

losing sleep makes me tired and crabby the next day. I find that reading helps me alot to get sleepy and I will fall 'asleep and drop the book on the floor. lol of course sometimes I stay up too late mylotting then am sleepy but over tired and have a hard time getting to sleep too. also I have shingles which also keeps me awake at times.

When I am sleepy I go to bed and sleep. I don't fight it and try to stay awake. besides, if I don't go to sleep when I am tired I will get a headache, like you, and then I can't go to sleep till I take some pills and my headache lessons. I have never had a reason that I had to stay awake when I don't want to stay awake. Are you doing some project for work that you have a deadline and so can't go to bed? If so, why does it have to be done right away, that you can't go to bed?

That happened to me a couple of nights ago. I had a big day, I was reallly tired and I laid down in bed. It was cozy, everything was quiet. But I just couldn't fall asleep. I wasn't even thinking about anything. The only thing I was thinking of was "come on, go to sleep already!". So yeah, I've been in that situation before. I think I finally went to sleep around 5am. It it frustrating and it does make you feel not yourself the next day. I used to have insomnia when I was in highschool so I'm hoping that this was just a one time thing and not my insomnia coming back.

Theres times when I'm so tired or feel so sleepy but i get to bed and I just cant fall asleep. Sometimes its like as soon as i get into bed i feel wide awake and I find this very frustrating to lay awake when I know i need to sleep.

yup, I'm having that problem s we speak. I've got all these things to do, so they weigh down my mind. But they would all cause noise in the house, and everyone is asleep. So I sit up and talk online. There are a million discussions here, but I'm running out of ones that interest me tonight. I know its been 6 days since you posted this, but I also know hoe life goes sometimes. I sure you you've been able to catch up on your ZZZZs

Oh yes, lack of sleep causes me to be very ill indeed. I get headaches, I get sick to my stomach, I feel listless all day long and I can't sleep at night. But with me that can only happen for a while and then I can't stop sleeping.

It happens mostly when my husband is away for work. It usually breaks up my sleeping pattern and find that I'm online at odd hours early in the mornings.

Yes, sometimes, but not very often, i do ge tthis feeling. I get it when i am ill and am really sleepy and desperately need to sleep but my illness (usually sometime flu/cold related) is keeping me form sleeping. I also get it when i have something really important to do the next day and therefore getting to sleep is really important the night before. I think the fact that i know i really need my sleep makes me feel anxious and actually has the exact effect i'm desperately hoping to avoid, ie not being able to sleep! I also think sometimes you can just be so tired to the point of being over-tired and then your body just can't seem to sleep.

I definitely hate it so much, and I am sorry to hear about the headache. I also get headaches when I don't get enough sleep. I last experienced this months ago and thank God. It's the time of my life that I feel so down, pressured and restless, I have a lot of problems at work at that time. It feels like, my mind still wants to do things, even if it knows that my physical body is so tired and i really need to get some sleep.

Yes, all the time. I work overnight, so I have to sleep during the day and when my youngest siblings are home during the weekend, they make lots of noise, so it's difficult for me to sleep. I actually had rough sleep today as well, because the phone wouldn't stop ringing and the dogs wouldn't stop barking. It drives me nuts.
