Ever Cuddled a Snake?

No, I don't mean a boyfriend / girlfriend who turned out to be anything but! I mean a real snake, a long, twisty, thick as your arm snake?
I just love snakes. I always take the opportunity to hold one when I'm offered the chance at a zoo or a pet store. I just adore the feel of their skin. It's not cold and clammy like you'd imagine, but silky. You can feel the muscles move under it as they move. Amazing animals!
Does anyone else feel this way, or am I out on a limb on my own here?!

Yes, I love to hold snakes..I have held a black rat snake and a boa..They are really neat..:) (but I could never talk my family into getting one..

My son always wanted a ball python. He had an art teacher he disliked, but when the teacher brought a snake to school (a ball python), it really improved my middle school age son's attitude. That is when he decided he liked that kind of snake.

I will have to remember this.. I have an application in for a teachers aid and if they accept me and I end up with a student who doesn't like me, I will just borrow a snake for the day..

Theres things in life that hold no worries for me...and there are things that would worry me to bits!!!...the snake holding thing falls into the latter category!!!!
I know as you say that yes they may feel wonderful to touch..but oopsie theres no way i could do it!!!!
Imagine it slithering own your tee shirt front.....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have held and or petted small and large snakes, and I agree, they feel silky and smooth, not gross and slimy. As a side note, I knew someone who disliked ferrets, because she viewed them as being just like snakes with fur, and they grossed her out. Go figure. I like most animals.

Moo.. you are out on a limb on this one. I shudder just thinking about holding one. I'm not scared of them, certainly not as firghtful of snakes as I am of spiders but they just do not interest me at all. I can't imagine the feeling.
