Has anyone ever tried BBQ bologna??
We saw it done on a tv show, so we tried it, it was really good. That was a couple of years ago and forgot how to do it. I want to do it again this summer.

I have never thought of BBQing bologna!
I am pretty adventurous (well, ok, SEMI adventurous) when it comes to food, so I'll have to give this a try! Thank you to the person who left the foodnetwork link. I'm going to bookmark it.

Here is one you might like. The sauce sounds really good.
BBQ BOLOGNA
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. water
3-4 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp. sugar, preferably brown sugar
2 tbsp. honey
1 c. chili sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Deli-style bologna, sliced in 1/2 inch thick portions
White bread for serving
For the sauce (makes about 2 cups) : In a large pan, saute onion in butter until the onion just turns brown. Add the water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, sugar, honey, chili sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes over moderate heat until slightly thickened.
Meanwhile, cook the bologna on both sides over a charcoal grill. Remove from heat. Place the bologna in the warm barbecue mixture and marinate about 20 minutes. Remove from marinade and serve between slices of white bread, with coleslaw or baked beans on the side, if desired.
