Magic was the main link for the primitive man between science and religion. Reflecting upon dreams and visions the ancient man cames up with the conclusion that between the human body and the human soul there is a diference:the soul is immortal and can still wonder through the living.
That is how ghosts and the concept of immortality formed in the human's mind.
The primitive man lives in a mystical world; for him everything is religion without any laical features.
Believing in magic is simple. It regards the power of man that may determin some results through incantations and rites. It's practice is isolated, mysterious, hidden, scattered, fragmentary and facultative.
A frequent magical rite is the lighting of candels. In Christianity that represents an offering and a pray. In magic the candels usually represnt the enemy. This is considered to be a black magical rite that fulfills with the help of the devil. People who practice it,it's believed that they will languish, without being able to die.
What is magic anyway?
magic is a mixture of sounds and incantations.
How can that harm us in any way???
