Positive thinking... a review! What can it do?

Just what can positive thinking do? This was asked by Zig Ziglar many times and I love the lessons I learn from his bulk of email sent.
He particularly described positive thinking as something at won't let you do anything but rather will let you do everything.
In one of his examples, "flipping the switch did not generate the electricity; it released the electricity which had been stored. Positive thinking works that way - it releases the abilities which you have."
More so, he added, "the student who hasn't studied and prepared for the test won't be helped by "thinking positively." However, positive thinking will help the student who has studied and prepared by "releasing" the stored knowledge when the questions are asked."
And I agree with him, "knowledge breeds confidence; confidence breeds enthusiasm; and enthusiasm is an important key to being and doing more with your life."
Indeed, in action we have results. That's positive thinking. Because we just can't let anything happen at one time, we have to do everything to make it happen.
Nice thought worth sharing.. I love it! Hope you did too..

hi jeanniemay...
wow nice sharing...you deserve a best response! oops i forgot you cannot rate yourself since its your discussion haha but you truly deserve it...^_^
it reminded me of the story of the 3 frogs going up the tower....
its funny long time ago there was a contest for the frogs to go up the tower an impossible feat so many crowd gathers to watch and see the failure which is surely to happen
frog number1 climb the crowd shouted and fell. also frog number2 climb the crowd shouted and he soon fell. but frog number3 climb and climb the tower...the crowd shouted! will fell, will fell, you cannot do it! its impossible soon you will fell. but the frog3 keeps climbing and climbing until he reach the top....SUCCESS!!!
the crowd soon found out that frog number3 was deaf! he cannot hear the discouragement from the crowd he just keeps believing he can climb the tower and focus on it...
and soon succeeded in doing the impossible...
"According to Aerodynamic laws the Bumblebee is not supposed to fly. there is a theoretic dimensional discrepancy between his disproportionate large body and its wingspan. But does this beautiful insect say what the science gurus have to say?, it cannot read. It just flies."
SMILE ALWAYS!!! ^_^

Thanks for sharing those ideas jeanniemay.
I think it's true that lack of confidence can hold people back. I agree with Ziglar that enthusiasm is one of the most important elements of success. I don't think anyone will succeed without it.
I like the idea that knowledge breeds confidence. It is like the electricity that fuels success.

I love that. Now that is something I ought to remember. "Positive thinking releases the abilities which you have." Now that should help me to tap into some secret energy sources I have within (lol).
I shall certainly do up a poster with those words so that I can always have it to look on. Thanks as always for sharing your innovative ideas Jeanniemay. (lol)

Yes. i always try to think positive about things in my life but there are times when things will happen and it makes me thing negatively. I try to look past those things and just continue to push forward to reach my goals. If I let the negative stay around me, I lose motivation.
