Does it make you sad to see old building structures that have historical value torn down? There was a house not far from me that was built before my state became a state. Thelast time I drove by there it had been torn down. I think it is sad to tear those beautiful old structures down in the name of progress.

It doesn't make me sad, it make me angry. The world doesn't need another Walmart or another set of new houses! That building was historic. It should be preserved.

yes, that really bothers me. I know there are people out there with more money than they know what to do with and they could save these old buildings if they really wanted to.

Too bad more towns and cities don't have active historical societies that would preserve the old buildings and maybe find a way to renovate and put the to a good use. At least preserve some of the architecture.

Not really, we need to move forward rather than living in the past. If they didn't build stuff where buildings used to be, they would build stuff where grassland is and people would complain about that too.

I think the cities should allow the people a vote before they sell the old historical buildings away to be demolished. If the people don't care enough to turn out a good vote, then they could go ahead and sell it.
