and has your music tastes changed over the years? Overall, I love Country Music and Christian music. At any time when I am traveling in the car somewhere you will find me listening to either Country or Christian. (If it is not either of these, it is probably something by a former American Idol). When it comes to Country there are many favorites of mine. I just find listening to Country is a great way to relax and think about life as a whole. Most of them are always singing about life as a whole, or a Romance, or something and in general if you listen to the words a lot of them you can really relate with. But if I am going thru a rough time in life, and feeling down or just need to be uplifted I Love to listen to Christian music. There are a lot of Great groups out there, and I feel you can never go wrong listening to this. It usually will help strengthen you and get your life going again with words of Inspiration and hope. For anyone who never has really listened to this type of music should try it once and see what it can do for them as well. As for music changes, I used to Love Journey, Heart, Extreme, and the Eagles, and still do. Thing is no groups out there today will ever compare to these groups. And their music is still being enjoyed by many yet even still today no matter what the age. I hated Country when I was growing up, but now look back and see their were some Great songs of that type back then as well. So as life moves on things change. What are your favorites, and are these the type you always have liked as well?

Wow- you and I would get along great on a road trip! Country and Christian here, too. And the oldies (which, much to my dismay now apparently includes music from when I was in high school!) I mean 'oldies' as in soft/classic rock from the 70's and 80's. When I was a kid I listened to some country (my parents listened to it) though it was NOT cool at the time...lol...and mostly soft rock- Journey, Air Supply, REO, etc. I did get into heavy metal "hair bands" in high school- Ratt, Poison, KISS, Motley Crue, etc. How embarrassing to admit to that now...

I have a variety of music I like to listen to. It just really depends on the mood I am in actually. lol I love country, before I met my husband, I hated it! Could not get me to listen to it at all, but today's country I really like. My favorite singer recently is Kelli Pickler. My all time favorite is Martina McBride. I love LeeAnne Rimes and Carrie Underwood, to name a few off hand that I can really enjoy. I also like R & B, easy listening, and a little pop and rock. I really enjoy Jordan Sparks No Air and Tattoo song. The other day I heard her song Freeze and WOW she has such a powerful voice I also enjoy Cher, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Michael Bolton, Josh Gracin, Keith Urban, Lisa Hartman Black and Clint Black, and Rod Stewart to name a few more. Still love Journey (Steve Perry), my daughter loves them also and she is 25. lol Have I shown my age yet? ~Icy~

I have a fairly broad taste in music with covers Pop from the 50s and 60s, ballads and classical music. My favourite is without doubt opera, especially the compsitions of Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi. There are many operas that appeal to me composed by such diverse people as Tchaikovsky, Bizet or Szymanowski, but Puccini is certainly the epitome of music for me.

I love the 70's music and some c&w and here lately with a couple of teenage girls I have been listening to the hip songs that they like to have me listen too. When I am in the vehicle my man likes to listen to the local rock channel and that is fine but it is the mellow rock, I use to be a metal head but just can't handle that anymore so I am really laid back any more and if I am by myself I will resort some oldies like abba and off the wall songs like that..I love older songs it just takes me back to when life was simple and the world was not as confusing as it is now.

My selection of music is mostly easy listening. First, I like all old classical music. Some musicians have somehow modernized them and I don't like it. I also love soundtracks especialy from Disney movies. They are very inspiring. Romantic or love songs are also in the list but they are hand-picked from different artists like Celine Dion, Phil Collins, Maureen McGovern, Gareth Gates, Garth Brookes. Then occassionaly, the sacred music. Especially they lift my sagging spirit up.

I listen to a lot of different genres of music. My favorites are usually goth and metal, but I will listen to almost anything. I'm not a big fan of most country or most rap, but those are the only real exceptions. I do tend to like female-fronted bands quite a bit, so those might be my favorite. :)

When I was a child, I was mostly crazy about the Beatles and Paul McCartney. I also liked some of those groups you mentioned like Journey, Heart, and the Eagles. But, then I got into classical music in high school and listed to that for a long time before I started to listen to classic rock. Now, I mostly listen to Christian rock, R & B, and punk. But, I also listen to Top 40 and classic rock a little, too.

I love ballad songs and R&B. But it would actually depends on the kind of mood that I have so far. Well, I never listen to sad songs because it make me feel depressed and all. I just love r&b grooves and some house music!
