In most cases I'd say no that wouldn't be the best option. But in others I can see why it's considered a valid option, I just wish it were more humanely practiced across the board, if we practice it at all. Here where I am we don't have capital punishment either and I think that's a good thing.

it takes several bullets from several people for the phychiological protection of the executioners... in that it makes them feel less guilty in their job. They could think "my bullet probably didnt kill that man" but they cant really say that if there was only one shooter. I disagree about taking a bullet in the head and causing suffering... as long as u do it right... to even go as far as giving them some kind of pain killer... but mainly that the firing squad all aim at his head so that he would die before he feels anything
