My cat is getting fixed today. He's not the car ride liking kind of guy. The whole ride to the vet was non stop meowing and I"m not complaining and I don't blame the little guy for being scared. I did talk to him the whole way there about what was happening and still he didn't seem to like it too much lol. It's pretty neat that the Vet can do the surgery in a couple hours and we can go pick him up the same day! They advised me not to feed him after 10pm last night and to bring him there between 8 and 9 this morning and then I could pick him up anytime after 3pm but before 6pm. My other cat that I use to have when I got him fixed, they kept him over night, so I was quite impressed with this vet clinic. I'm also getting my cat tattooed today as well for an extra $5.00. I thought why not? For some reason I figured it was more money to tattoo a cat?? Now he'll be a cool cat when he's done with his tattoo! hehehe

hello there! The fix went well yesterday. It was finished in a few hours. I dropped my cat off at almost 9am and got to pick him up after 3pm but before 6pm. We ended up getting to the vet clinic at around 4:30pm and he was waiting for us but a little nervous. He didn't meow much on the way back and I"m guessing this is because he was still effected by this anistetic? We were told not to let him lick himself where the opened incision was so we tried so very hard to get him to stop it when we seen him wanting to do that. They also told us to only feed him half the amount of food that we usually would for the rest of the evening. The reason for this is because the vet's assistant told us some cats end up bringing up their food because of the anistetic. The following day we could feed him normally. Yesterday evening when he returned home, he was himself and he was running around like usual, but it was hard to catch him to just sit with him so he would settle down. The vet's assistant also told us to let him have minimum play, and if he's going to jump onto the couch or down from it, that we assist him with it. He's fine now though, we also have to check his incision everyday to make sure there's no redness or puss coming from that area and so far so good! thanks for your comment

my cats do that too-complain the whole ride LOL i think with them,it's more the cage they're complaining about.they don't like it. my girl cat had to stay overnight when she was fixed-but her anesthesia was taking a long time to wear off.the boy got to go home though.

Yes if I could only understand what my cat was saying I'm sure it would not have been very good lol It's been awhile since the last time I have gotten a cat fixed so I can't remember what they are like after the proceedure. Thanks for your comment
