The Supreme Court has decided on lethal injection

and says it's the most humane way to execute those who are sentenced to death. I'm of two minds. First, I think it's horrible to kill someone but I have no idea what else we can do with murderers. They're obviously mentally ill but if someone killed someone I loved I would want them to die. But I hate the thought of the state killing anyone. On the other hand, I found myself wondering why in the world anyone would care if a death was humane and my more uncivilized self thought they should be executed in the same way they themselves executed their victims. As you can see, I'm very confused about the death penalty. And there are many people who were executed unjustly, having it proven years later that they were innocent. What do you think about the death penalty and the "humane" lethal injection method? Should we imprison people for life with minimum comforts or execute them?
