I love trying new foods, and tonight I tried cuttlefish in a dish at a local Malaysian restaurant. It was very nice, especially with the chilli sauce which was an option with the meal. The taste was surprisingly strong.
What are some of the more unusual foods people have tried?

heya, what exactly is Cuttlefish??LOL I guess I might have seen one or know it but I just dont know the name for it.^_^ Anyways I do like to try out new food dishes.
Hmm, unusual foods that Ive tried?
WARNING: Excuse my descriptions of real food here.
Well, there's the snake meat in mint flavored coconut juice(or something like that, sorry, just dont know how to translate food terms.) We do have the duck embryos here and its a delicious delicacy. It is recommended to be eaten in the dark especially if its your first try. There's the grilled chicken intestines, chicken feet, chicken neck, cube of pigs blood, and a viand that has pig meat and liver but covered in cooked pigs blood for sauce(of some sort, translating thing again). The last one was a delicacy here and the others that I have enumerated are common street food. They're quite yummy but I havent tried the pigs blood, just refuse to.

Hey, thanks for responding! I'd forgotten about this discussion ... lol.
A cuttlefish is a little like a squid. I've eaten squid and octopus, but that was the first and only time I had cuttlefish. To be honest, I can't remember what it tasted like now, but I'm guessing it was a little like squid.
Thanks so much for sharing the interesting foods you've tried. It's really fascinating. The only things I've tried from your list are chicken feet and chicken neck. Isn't it funny how you get used to what you grow up with, and it doesn't worry you at all, while something else will gross you out! For example, I love sashimi, so why is eating raw fish okay in my head, while eating pigs blood would make my stomach turn? Our brains are powerful motivators.

You're very much welcome.^_^
I just did a search about the cuttlefish and saw that it kinda looks like what we have here. If its mostly color flesh or white and has thick 'sauce' thats color black we do have them here. Oh and they're usually the size of half a hand.
LOL. yeah it really does make you do things or dont do for that matter.^_^
